Goupil Industrie was created in 1996 by Pascal Duclos, an electrical engineer, and Thierry Zerbato, a specialist in self-propelled aerial lifts.
The two partners took advantage of the robust technology of fork lift trucks when they designed their first electric utility vehicle. The Goupil G3 came out in 2001 and an increasing number of customers are drawn to its many advantages (it is silent, non-polluting, economical it has low maintenance costs). Since it was created, the company has enjoyed exceptional double-digit growth (+40% on average since 2005) and is developing internationally with locations in the European markets.
Today, Goupil Industrie is the European leader in terms of electric vehicles. It enjoys a leading position in its sector with 5,000 vehicles in circulation. Its 100 employees (including 11 in the research department) develop, assemble and market the vehicles for use by local governments, industry and leisure activities. The company generated €21.3 million in revenue in 2010, of which 35% came from exports. In November 2011, Goupil-Industrie became part of Polaris Industries inc.
